I am experiencing the same.
The only explanation I have that there is only limited amount of extreme sudoku "maps".
So when you run out, you get lesser level and so it's much easier.

That's just my opinion but it happened to me like a year ago, then I switched phone and it was hard as ever.
Few weeks ago after long time playing I encountered the same error on new phone too.

I recommend to uninstall the app and install it again. The cache will be removed and you start over.
Can someone from admins confirm or deny it?

Have a nice day,
Vaclav

I also think the Extreme has recently become too easy. Please let me know if there is a solution.

Maybe we are just getting better. I recently went to my old puzzle supplier, WEBSUDOKU.COM and played a few EVIL games and won every one easily. The fact remains that I (we) would like some harder games, maybe an new category?

If extreme is easy you must be finishing the puzzles in under 1.5 minutes?

There is no way to enter all the possibilities in 1.5 minutes. It is not about time, it is about being stumped.

Easier or faster, the results are the same. I'm solving extremes in under 2 minutes, and I (we?) just want a challenge. Something harder would be nice.

It would be nice to see more extreme++ puzzles that require chains to solve.

Sadly if you memorize too many patterns rather than think through the puzzles they can become too easy. I have stopped using pencil marks and enjoy the occasional chain that comes up that is deeper than 3 or 4 pairs but it would be nice to be able to select a level that will always require more than entering the solution as quickly as possible.

At some point you have to recognize that you have gotten as much out of this game as you are going to and move on to harder sudoku software. This one was my favourite for a very long time and I got my moneys worth. Time to move on

Thank you for writing. We're looking into how the puzzle difficulty is rated and will adjust based on our findings. Stay tuned.

someone must have done something. Instead of easily solving puzzles in 10 to 15 minutes the last few have taken me an hour. Thanks, this much more interesting and a leaning experience, I have leaned techniques I never knew existed. You will never learn and improve unless you are challenged beyond your normal ability.

I play only extreme games. The definition of an extreme game is not how quickly you can solve it, rather what rules are required in reaching the solution.

Previously, at least one rule in the "diabolical" or "extreme" category was encountered when playing extreme games. About 2 months or so ago, however, most extreme games required no special rules to solve them. Most would be called easy or at best medium, and are a waste of time as far as I am concerned.

It is not that I jave played all the extreme games available. There is an almost infinite number of these. This is definitely a bug in the progam which should have been fixed long ago.

If you go to history and reset scores it will erase all your current scores but then it will give you different levels for each category. Just an option
